I'm impressed. I particularly like the 3-chromatic pictures. Kudos.

Poignant. Chilling. Guernica-like symbolism.

I find this puzzling and disturbing. I read a fierce criticism of the American way of life in it. Am I far from the truth?
opossumd wrote on Nov 25, '07
I love the black humour behind this one.

Have you been partly inspired by Eco's Name of the Rose for this metaphysical vision? The faceless judge compares very closely to the Great Inquisitor.

Did you use the collage technique here? Interesting use of 2-dimension space.
opossumd wrote on Nov 25, '07
Another collage, it seems. Joyful, cheerful. It speaks of hope.

I absolutely love the naughty skeletons!

All Power To The People ~

Sweet Dani ~ What's - Up? The sky is the limit over here. Thanks for your comments. I will answer everyone of them. Right now I am working on a table of contents for the journal part of Westgate. I noticed you detected something over there before I did, no problem. Peace ~

Far out ~ That is so cool. Thanks ~ Just what we as artist should be about. Please fill free to drop by any time. I will get by your site as well. Peace ~

I look forward to your replies, Lockhart, but no need to hurry. I honestly don't know what you are referring to about me detecting something in Westgate. Hmmm... *scratches head*
I wish you a bright new week. And kudos again.

“There are three monks, who had been sitting in deep meditation for many years amidst the Himalayan snow peaks, never speaking a word, in utter silence. One morning, one of the three suddenly speaks up and says, ‘What a lovely morning this is.’ And he falls silent again. Five years of silence pass, when all at once the second monk speaks up and says, ‘But we could do with some rain.’ There is silence among them for another five years, when suddenly the third monk says, ‘Why can’t you two stop chattering?”

Erm... sorry, I didn't catch it. Could you please repeat it, maybe in 5 years' time? :D

I have seen that story some where else before. He is all right. I hope he writes again. I will catalogue everyone's work so that it is easier to find.

The education system where I received training has suffered a stillbirth.

Those are James Brown stamps, trading stamps. They were use in stores during the 1970's in San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and Chicago. I received my stamps from gas stations. Record stores carried them also. They came in two shades of brown. This "link " will give you a closer look a the stamps.

Cree ~

Where did you come from? What are you up to? This public education system we have over here is having a stillbirth. Many African Americans may not make it to college if the family situation doesn't improve. Thanks for coming by. Peace ~

The James Brown Stamps lasted for about 10 years. I havent't seen anything like that type of African American Stamp since. CLC

The sculpture is really what I am best at. The drawings receive attention, because that is what people seem to relate to. I am interested in doing sculpture. CLC

That is where part of Western Education is today. At the public school levels primary and secondary meaningful education doesn't function very well at all. In the colleges if you are not careful you will be presented with materials you will never use.
